Specialised course for front-of-house staff

Course directed at sommeliers and other professionals of the restaurant and bar industry who want to increase their knowledge on sherries, with a focus on achieving excellence when working in the front of house: wine cellar management, creating a menu, wine preservation, service and pairing, mixology, etc.


This course offers mainly practical training for managing and serving wine in general, and sherries in particular. It will provide professionals of the restaurant and bar industry with key knowledge, tools, techniques and resources that will help them achieve a higher degree of success and customer satisfaction in the front of house and in the management of the oenological offer from the Marco de Jerez. From organising purchases and the cellar, to creating a solid wine menu, as well as essential aspects that impact service excellence and the quality of the gastronomic experience, such as pairing the various types of sherry or their various applications in mixology.

    In the first part of the course Fino viejo and Manzanilla fino are mentioned but there is no where explained what kind of wine this is, even in the advanced level sherry course this is not mentioned which I think should be changed. Feel like a sherry expert after having done the basic and advanced level course but wasn‘t tought this which is in a way poor I think.
